R&D

CTCVAC R&D Center

In 2019, CTCVAC established R&D center to conduct diverse research projects for the development and commercialization of vaccine products.
Since its founding, CTCVAC’s R&D center has expanded its field of research, developing technologies for vaccines.
From the development of vaccines for various animal species to the formulation technology for high-purity vaccines, it has been accumulating our own technologies and know-how.
Researchers with rich knowledge and experiences are actively involved in separating, analyzing, and developing new antigens for vaccines,
testing vaccine concepts both in vitro and in vivo, and conducting assays to carry out the analysis of new vaccine candidates.
Also, CTCVAC's R&D center operates an open research network through collaboration with many research institutes, colleges,
and companies to ensure the efficiency and objectivity of the development process. Within these networks,
we are constructing vaccine infrastructure and pipelines for the vaccine development and have been successfully connecting them to products.

R&D Vision

CTCVAC R&D center is conducting various research projects with the aim of developing a new trend animal vaccine. Ranging from the development of poultry, porcine, fishery and bovine vaccine, to the development of COVID-19 vaccine for companion animals, CTCVAC is working continuously to prevent animal diseases by developing vaccines for newly emerging infectious diseases.

In addition, to promote human welfare, we are expanding our vision to "One Health“, which considers animals, people, and the environment, to develop and apply vaccines to animals in the production stage to prevent food poisoning.

Main performance of
CTCVAC R&D center

  • Production of Recombinant protein : Producing recombinant protein as vaccine antigen using various expression system
  • Scale-up of Antigen Purification : Antigen Purification System for maximizing purity and GMP optimization
  • Tracking trends in various infectious pathogen : Isolation and Analysis of various circulating pathogens in field (Biochemical analysis, PCR & Sequencing), establishment of vaccine strains
  • Having facilities for Animal Research : Conducting animal research including immunogenicity and safety evaluation & Coworking for animal research with external institutes to obtain objectivity of the result
  • In-silico analysis : Computational modeling & analysis of recombinant antigens to evaluate antigenicity in the immune system and form a vaccine based on the results of the evaluation
